General Creative Writing
This is a catch all class for most other forms of fiction and even non-fiction writing. If you have had the urge to write in any form you owe it to yourself to find and work in the particular medium that is best suited to your expressive needs.
Writing the short story, Learn how to outline, create and polish, Learn to create suspense, intensity and consolidation, Learn to identify the conflict around which your story revolves. Learn how to find your theme and get to it quickly.
Writing poetry
Poetry can't be taught like any other form of writing. It can be stimulated. Once you have an idea or the germ of an idea you will be encouraged to write it. Then it will be possible to consider changing the form, improving and polishing it till you feel you have a piece of work you can be proud of. Poets are sensitive. They need encouragement and praise for what they do. Poets rarely write for money. They need readers who, like them, appreciate this special art form. Many poets have found success and recognition for their contribution to literature. But poets must be handled with utmost delicacy and respect for their endeavor. If you are a poet or wish to be, this will be a haven for you.
